Maja in the Space School

In this post I’ll show you how I made the coolest storybook for my daughter as a back-to-school surprise.

Maja and the Secret of the Space School is a galactic adventure starring a brave little girl and her amazing friends.

My daughter Maja is starting first grade this September. She’s excited and curious but also a bit scared—she doesn’t really know what to expect, and like many first-graders she’s full of questions. I wanted to give her something that shows how special she is and that school is not only about homework—it can be a magical adventure, too.

That’s how the story of Maja’s first day at school was born. Her ordinary day suddenly turns into a space mission—and with Storique I captured the whole tale in a real storybook.

First I uploaded eight high-quality photos of Maja and another eight of her big brother Noel to the Storique web app (app.storique.ai). I also added our tabby cat Mochi as a character with a short textual description.

Then I defined the plot:

The main character is Maja, a smart six-year-old girl who loves outer space.
In September she starts school. One day her school becomes enchanted, lifts into the sky and turns into a real space academy.
The teachers transform into alien creatures. The story should be adventurous and educational, but never scary.
Maja's brother Noel stays by her side, and Mochi the cat uses his magic powers to help whenever things get tricky.

It took me three minutes to add the characters and the outline, then I ordered the book. Storique’s AI writing crew drafted a 28-page story and generated more than 100 unique illustrations. About an hour later I got the notification: the first version of the book was ready! Then came the best part—creating: I could freely generate illustrations of Maja and her friends, edit the text, and add extra pages. The images turned out incredible. Take a look:
